No. 7 stay perfect smoothing eye shadow

Coming soon is my brothers weddings, so recently I've been trying different makeup looks out on my mum. We had a money off voucher for No. 7 so decided to have a little nosey as normally we don't bother, and we came across these gorgeous Stay Perfect Smoothing Eyeshadow range. They say its a "soft cream eyeshadow which glides on easily for crease resistant, blendable, long lasting colour." When we tested them out on our hand they looked absolutely gorgeous and had the most perfect amount of shimmer when it hit the light. We picked up 2 shades as it had a special offer like buy one get one half price I think, we got Pretty Pink and Bronze.
I've tried them on my mum since and we are both thrilled. We didn't know if they would stay long on the lid but they did and didn't crease an inch! I applied it on my mum with a eye shadow brush instead of with the doe applicator that it comes with.
I definitely think these are worth checking out, especially I've you've got the money off voucher!
What's your fav no.7 product?

Another makeup review...

I am doing another makeup review, I really need to start doing outfit of the days though!

Anyway recently I've been trying out benefits hello flawless oxygen wow liquid foundation, in the shade honey. Before I review it I'm going to tell you a little about it. Okay so it is mineral foundation in a liquid form which is meant to be great for the skin, it's oil free and also contains SPF 25. Its also has a tri radiance complex which brightens up your skin, this is meant to give a light to medium coverage depending how you much you build upon it.
I am not actually a fan of this foundation, I thought it would be great but it's just not. I'd say I have combination skin, and with the foundation being oil free i thought it would be perfect for my skin, but no. It feels soooooo greasy! It goes shiny and patchy nearly straight away no matter what I use before and after to get it to stay longer, if I wipe my finger lightly across my cheek it will leave a clear line of where it once was. It also makes my blusher and bronzer sit funny on the skin as well. The coverage again is bad I thought this would be perfect for more natural days but it just doesn't do a thing but feel slimey on your face! I put a whole pump on my face and it just didn't seem to change.

On the plus side I got a tester for the bare minerals original SPF 15 foundation in medium beige, and it is amazing! At first I didn't think much about it as I've never liked the though of a powder foundation. When I first applied it i was doing it all wrong but once I realised, the foundation looked flawless. It's great because you can have a range of coverages and it feels as if there is nothing on you. It also lasted all day on my face no patchiness yippeeeee! I'm defiantly going to invest in this foundation and I think you all should too!

My last makeup item was only a £1, it is just a primark black liquid liner. I have been using the maybelline gel eye liner but find it prints on the top of my eyelid, so I got this once for a cheap replacement. And boy George is it good! It has a nice fine flexible brush and the colour is a intense black which has an incredible staying power! I love it, especially with the price tag!

What's your favourite makeup bargain?

HAUL!

As it was my 18th birthday at the end of march and I got some money and vouchers I obviously felt obliged to treat myself to a few bits! Ooops!

The first thing I got was some shoes from Topshop with my gift voucher, and I must admit they are white version of my school shoes when i was like 6! But I couldn't help and fall in love, they looked so cute on and felt so comfy and sturdy and I normally hate buying shoes as I can never find anything really that excites me, until these bad boys! They are the Martina geek shoes which were £30.

I then went to zara and had to buy the very well blogged about white skort and its so gorgeous and really dresses up an outfit. The only problem I have is that I got the small as I read the extra small was 6 and now the small is quite loose around my waist, but I'm hoping my boyfriends mum can cinch them in for me, as there is no zara where I live :( ! The following thing I got from zara was a summer aztec dress which is actually quite figure hugging and has this ruching along one side which makes it a little bit shorter. I think this is going to look so pretty on my holidays!

In primark I just got a really simple cobalt blue pencil skirt, I think it's great for nights out and day time, pencil skirts are such a staple item for me. I also got a cropped floaty cami vest which again will be ideal for my holiday. I have been wanting the ones from Topshop but couldn't really justify paying £26 on them and then when I seen this hidden in primark for a fiver, I was so excited. I am quite a cheapskate with things if I see something that I think primark will do I usually won't buy it! That's how bad I am!

The final item I got which is probably the most exciting for me is the nars blusher in orgasm! I have read and watched so many good reviews and tutorials, at when I found a space nk on my trip to Bristol I just couldn't resist. It is such a gorgeous colour it a coral with orange, pink and gold tones, the lady who showed me it said it is perfect for any skin tone. I really do wish though that I tried the nars sheer glow as I can only get it online now :(

What things have you brought recently? Let me know, I like to see what people get then I can get it!

Benefit Fake Up concealer review

A new concealer from Benefit cosmetics is launching on the 30th march, so I thought I'd do a little review as I have tried the product over a couple of weeks now.

So first of all the packaging- fake up sticks to the iconic packaging of benefit; 60's vintage/ fun. Which I personally quite like as its a breath of fresh air compared to other brands.

What it does- the concealer is in a stick form with a outer ring of moisture. The concealer is meant to hydrate and moisturise the under eyes and isn't meant to crease. I have got really dark under eye circles, which unfortunately run on my dads side of the family, which means I have to put a fair amount on which can some times look cakey, so I thought this product would be great.
When first putting it on it feels great, but gives hardly any coverage which isn't ideal. As the day progressed I noticed my under eyes looked slick with grease and I had black all underneath my eyes from my mascara. This never usually happens to me as I never wear mascara on the bottom, so it must of been coming from the top lashes.

Crease control- very bad I never get creases under my eyes but with this I did.

Staying power- again not very impressive in the end I had to resort to putting on my maybelline fit me concealer on over the top!

Overall- I am so disappointed, I really wanted to love this product as I am a big fan of benefit, but Fake Up just wasn't doing it for me. I wouldn't go out to repurchase and I don't recon i'll use it again.

Small haul

Today I went shopping in my home town Plymouth and hit the last of the sales. (Which wasn't great!)
The first shop I went too and really was the only one I was impressed with was Topshop. I grabbed some gorgeous jewellery in the neon greens, which I'm loving SOOOOO much and a bit of neon pink.
I got a statement necklace which is silver with hot and neon pink ribbon running through the metal then on the outside there is little black, stones. It looks so gorgeous on! It was meant to be £25 but I got it for £4.50!
I also got another necklace with lime green jewels it looks beautiful, that was originally £10 but was reduced too £2.50! I couldn't resist so I had to get the matching earrings which were £8.50 reduced to £2.50 then the bracelet was £10 down to £2.50!
The last jewellery item I picked up was some black skull earrings which had crowns on; they are so cute! I love anything to do with skulls, so they were perfect for me. They were £6.50 down to £1.50!
The final item I got from Topshop was actually from their concession jones and jones. It's this amazing low cut white dress with a sequin skirt. I'm going to wear it for my 18th but I also think it would look fab when I'm on holiday with a tan. My only fault with it is that the top half is sheer as sheer can be so you can see everything. My plan is to get some material and sew it into the inside, and hopefully that will work! That was a whopping £75 down to £10!!!!! How amazing is that!?
The last shop I went into was Boots. I picked up the maybeline gel eyeliner, which I've never had before. I then picked up the La Roche-Posay effaclar a.i. I have been wanting to try it for a ages now, ever since Tanya Burrs review on it. I've finally got my mitts on it and it will hopefully be worth it! I may do a review on it after a while of trying it.
