Luscious lips & home ware bits

Yesterday I popped into town with my mum to ONLY get my mums Mothers Day present; but then things happened and I got carried away, what with it being payday and all. So here are a few things I brought for "Mothers Day" ;) *wink wink*.

M.A.C Select Moisturecover in NW15 & NC20, Topshop Lip Bullet - There She Goes & Topshop Lip Varnish - Merry-Go-Round

I've been recently getting really annoyed with my eyes at the moment. Every bloody concealer I try to use goes all creasey on me and makes me look as if I have thousands of wrinkles, which is not the case just yet. I naturally have dark under eyes which I have inherited from my lovely granddad and his side of the family, so when mum was in M.A.C getting matched for a foundation I took full advantage and begged them to sort my under eyes out. The lovely lady in M.A.C suggested I go for NW15 which is more pinky toned to counteract the darkness under my eyes, then use NC20 to give a bit more coverage and to blend in with my skin tone. I have only used the concealers twice, but so far so good! I will do a blog post soon showing you the before and after so you can see for yourself.

I also picked up two lip products from Topshop. The Lip Bullet in There She Goes is a beautiful peachy / coral with gold shimmer running through it which is subtle. The texture is super creamy and soft on the lips giving a  wash of colour for every day wear without looking try hard. I also got the Lip Varnish in Merry-Go-Round which is a gorgeous vibrant coral / pink. The varnish is quite thick and is difficult to apply as it tends to cling to the dry patches of the lips, so it does take a few run overs for it to look completely smooth and glossy. Although it is thick it doesn't seem to be too sticky but it definitely isn't for windy weather!

The last few things I picked up were from Primark. Me and my boyfriend, Simon, are currently saving for a deposit for a mortgage and picking up house essentials as we go along (I got excited the other day for receiving my first dish which I can cook my Sheppard pies in!) In the home ware section I saw these amazing mugs which were only £1.50 each although I think the flamingo one was £3, the frame was also £3 as well.

I am a big fan of Primark and there new spring range for there home section is incredible I just wish the Primark where I live would be bigger so I can get more!

So that's all I picked up this weekend but please leave a comment suggesting any websites for home bits or any products you think I should buy this month.
