The Perfect Nude Lip for £3.50

I've never really been into nude lips as I thought they never suited me and I couldn't find the perfect colour, but when everyone jumped onto the Kylie Jenner lip band wagon and she made them look so good, I just had to find a nude lip combo that would suit me. And guess what I did for £3.50!

The lip liner was only £1 from Primark's P.S. Love range and is in the shade 01. I'm really impressed with the quality for £1, it is really creamy, glides easily and has good colour pay off. The lipstick is from Makeup Revolution and is one of the Liphug Lipsticks in When You Came To Me, again this lipstick is very creamy and hugs my lips and is a great colour. The lipstick was only £2.50 but it feels like it could be worth much more than that.

Have you got any other good suggestions for the perfect nude lip? If so i'd love it if you left a comment down below.

Hope you had a good weekend.

Cheap Alternative | Quay and Dior Sunglasses

For some reason I am currently obsessed with sunglasses, I think it is because they can really complete an outfit. Although I'm really liking them at the moment I refuse to spend big bucks on them as I either sit on them or loose them somewhere. Then I came across the Quay Australia Fleur and Dior So Real glasses and just knew I had to find a cheaper alternative.

I found the Quay dupe from the kids section in Primark and was so chuffed! They were only £2 whereas the original ones are £28 and really hard to get hold of. The Dior ones are from eBay and were another bargain at £3.98! The actual glasses cost £325 which is crazy.

Obviously the quality may not be the same, but they both do the job in looking good and actually blocking out the sun. I absolutely love them and they are most probably one of my favourite buys recently.

Leave me a comment below if you have any good dupes, i'd love to see them.

Barry M Showgirl Extra Volumising Mascara Review

If truth be told the main reason I originally brought the Barry M Showgirl Extra Volumising Mascara was because of the beautiful packaging, who doesn't want pretty items in their make up bag? But since using this product for a few weeks now it has become one of my firm favourites.

Formula: The formula of the mascara is quite creamy, if that makes sense? I really like it because I find it isn't wet where you can't blink for 10 minutes without it printing all over your eyelid, yet it isn't really dry where you have to keep pumping the wand in and out of the bottle in hope for a little moisture. I can apply this mascara and carry on straight away with other tasks and getting ready without worrying about panda eyes.

Brush: The brush is yet another thing I like about the mascara. It is a large curvaceous tapered brush with natural bristles which is perfect for really adding volume to your lashes and making your eyes appear more awake. I personally prefer brushes with natural bristles as I find that your less likely to get spider legs and poking yourself in the eyes with a plastic one really hurts!

Wearing it & longevity: This mascara lasts ALL day on me. I have worn it in the heat and in the rain and it hasn't smudged or budged an inch. The mascara really does add volume and length to my eyelashes but naturally and you can apply layers upon layers without it getting clumpy.

Packaging: I have already touched on the packaging at the beginning, but just to emphasise my love for it... it is fun, beautiful and will definitely look good on your dresser. With the material of the packaging it is a bit heavier than a usual mascara but I don't think it actually makes much of a difference when applying it.

Dupe: This mascara really reminds me of the Benefit Bad Gal Lash which has always been one of my favourites. If you have always wanted to try the Bad Gal Lash or want a cheaper alternative I would definitely recommend the Barry M Showgirl Extra Volumising Mascara. The Benefit mascara is £17.50 and the Barry M one is only £4.99!

Leave me a comment below letting me know your favourite mascara at the moment or if you've found any really good dupes.

Hope you had a good weekend.

Plymouth Blog Meet & Exploring Cornwall

This weekend has been crazy. On Saturday I went to my first blogger event at Mrs Browns Bakery in Plymouth. The event was organised by the lovely Little Ellie Mae, and was a great chance to meet other bloggers and like minded people in Plymouth.

During the event we got taught how to do different piping techniques and how to make fondant roses and rose buds. As well as getting hands on we got the chance to sit back and nibble on some delicious Victoria sponge cake and sip on coffee and tea while we all had a chin wag.

Here's a sneak peak of the cakes I decorated, I did the two in the middle and on the right, then Mrs Browns Bakery kindly gave us an extra two to take away.

The first thing we learnt to make was fondant roses. When I first knew we were going to be doing this I really didn't think I'd be able to do it, but low and behold I think I did pretty well!

The next thing we were shown was how to do piping so it looked like a rose. Oh the panic! I felt so tense trying to do this. The girls running the workshop (Georgie and Jemm) made this look super easy and effortless. I then added some fondant leaves and sprayed the icing with this spray which gave it a metallic sheen.

We then had a quick pit-stop to enjoy the tastiest Victoria Sponge cake ever!

Georgie, the owner of Mrs Browns Bakery working her magic

Georgie then showed us how to do a whippy style with the icing. We then added chocolate sprinkles and a chocolate strawberry on top.

The final thing we learnt was how to make fondant rosebuds. I found this the easiest to do, but I think it looked really cute and effective once it was all put together.

This event was such a great day and I enjoyed every minute of it! Georgie and Jemm were so lovely and so were all the bloggers. I'd definitely recommend popping into Mrs Browns Bakery if you're ever in Plymouth.

Bloggers:

Then today me and my boyfriend went exploring around Cornwall in the sun and it was the perfect way to finish the weekend.
