Sephora Haul

Uh oh... a Sephora haul.

My mum and dad recently went to Dubai and as soon as I knew there was a Sephora over there I had to give them my shopping list! So here's what I got with my first thoughts and opinions...

  • Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Primer - this is the first product I have ever tried from Make Up For Ever. It is silicon based and really helps smooth out the skin ready for application of foundation. I have noticed this helps the longevity of my makeup and prevents creasing, which I usually get from talking/smiling.
  • Gucci Lustrous Glow Foundation in 090 - this foundation feels beautiful on the skin and very lightweight whilst still giving a medium coverage and a glow within as the name suggests. This has to be one of my favourite foundations yet. The only thing is it has a rose scent which I'm not usually a big fan of but I'll let it slide on this occasion!
  • Gucci Luxe Finishing Powder in 050 - I'm not usually a person for powders and normally avoid using them as I always worry it'll look too matte and cakey, but this product avoids this. Again it feels very light and silky on the skin. I use it to set my concealer under my eyes and then my chin which tends to get a bit greasey throughout the day.
  • Urban Decay Naked Skin in Light Warm -  I use this for under my eyes, it has very good coverage and doesn't crease under the eyes.
  • Becca x Jaclyn Hill in Champagne Pop - this has been on my list for ages now after seeing everyone and their dogs rant and rave about it - it doesn't let me down! This highlighter is absolutely gorgeous, so soft to touch and gives the most beautiful glow on the cheek bones.
  • Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper - this eyeliner is the biz. It stays put, is easy to use and is a deep black. I don't usually like pen liquid eyeliners as I find the nibs a bit stiff and if you use them with eyeshadow then it sticks to the nib then the pigment is useless, but you don't get any of those issues with this eyeliner.
  • Too Faced Better Than Sex (Love) Waterproof Mascara - this was another cult product I've been wanting to try for a while; because I got it from Dubai it is actually called Better Than Love. This mascara gives lovely thick and fluttery lashes. I will warn you though if you get waterproof you need some really good eye make up remover - it does not budge!
  • Sephora Pro Airbrush 55 - I've been using this one for my powder and setting my makeup. Very soft and good quality.
  • Sephora Multitasker Blush Brush 54 - I've been using this for highlighting my cheek bones. Same as above, the brush is very soft and good quality. I love Sephora brushes and can't fault either of these brushes.
I hope you all had a good weekend. Don't forget to leave a link in the comments to your blogs as well if you have one!
