My favourite autumn lipsticks

Autumn lipsticks

I love autumn, it's one of my favourite times of the year; Mainly because I get super excited about Christmas from the end of September but also because I love the clothes and makeup you can wear. Cosy knits, deep colours, statement lips and eyes, the list goes on and on.  This week I thought I'd share with you my all time favourite lipsticks to wear this time of year. I've got a few nudes, a couple berry colours and of course some very festive red!

Nyx Ruffle Trim, Rimmel Boho Nude & Charlotte Tilbury Nude Kate
L-R:Ruffle Trim, Boho Nude & Nude Kate

When you're going for a very colourful statement eye its best to be safe and team it with a nude lipcolour. The very darkest shade is a Nyx Lingerie liquid lipstick in Ruffle Trim, this is super pigmented, lasts all day and is amazing quality for the price.

The middle colour is a Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in Boho Nude. This was a special edition to celebrate the 15 years of Rimmel and Kate Moss working together but it is still available. I pretty much wear this every day, it goes with absolutely everything.

The final one is a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in Nude Kate once again based on Kate Moss. This is a very light nude so I like to wear it when I've got more colour on my eyes as it can wash me out a tad. With it being Charlotte Tilbury it feels very luxurious and creamy and the packaging is to die for.

Tanya Burr Enchanted Forest, MAC New York Apple & H&M Purple Reign
L-R: Enchanted Forest, New York Apple & Purple Reign

Moving onto the berry shades! The first one is a lipgloss from Tanya Burr in Enchanted Forest, I love to wear this one its own for a more sheer berry lip colour or on top of one of the other lipsticks swatched above for a real punch.

The middle shade is a MAC frost lipstick in New York Apple. This lipstick brings back so many memories. It was one of my first lipsticks from Mac and I remember purchasing it to wear on my boyfriends 21st birthday. Its such a beautiful and different colour, the base is purple but it has this gorgeous frost which makes it look more red in some lights.

The darkest colour is Purple Reign which is in fact from H&M's makeup range. I'm a huge fan of H&M products, the packaging is gorgeous and the quality of the products I've tried so far have been amazing. I did a blog post last year about some of the products which you can read here.

Dior Iconic Red & MAC Ruby Woo
L-R: Iconic Red & Ruby Woo
Finally the colour that screams Christmas to me - a festive red. The gloss is by Dior and is called Iconic Red. It is a very bright red with glitter in it so I usually only whip it out around this time of year. Its great for wearing on it owns or layering on top of a lipstick.

The lipstick is a MAC matte lipstick in Ruby Woo - everyone and their mums has this lipstick, Out of all my matte MAC lipsticks I find this one very matte and hard to apply. I like to use a red lip liner first all over my lip then layer it on top. You would have to be a magician if you could apply this all on its own! Once on its worth it and is such a beautiful statement red which lasts all day.

What are your favourite colours for autumn? Leave me a comment or a link to your post.

Hope you had a good weekend.
